The photograph to the left is a rustic spiced peach tart with almond pastry and it looks absolutely heavenly.  Which reminds me, I made an apple one similar to this a few weeks ago!  I’ll be posting the recipe soon!

Coconut Banana Bread

coconut2Bbb2B1I love banana bread and I love coconut so anyone who combines the two is genius in my book!  I have an amazing banana bread recipe that my Mom passed down to me however I wouldn’t mind doing a little experimentation with this particular recipe.  These loaves look light, fluffy and down right delicious!  Hmmm, where are my brown bananas at?  Oh!! And I love her blog name!

Steak & Mushroom Pot Pies

Steak and Mushroom Pot PiesNow you know I love me some pot pies!!  I make several different kinds, one that is already posted HERE.  This recipe sort of reminds me of the hand pies or meat pies that I loved to eat when I visited the UK.  Whoever said the English do not have good food must have had damaged taste buds!!!  I love the food there.  Anyhow, when I stumbled upon this recipe, I saved and pinned it immediately to add it to my ever growing lists of must try recipes!  Steak, creamy sauce, mushrooms, a flaky crust… just mouthwatering!

Mini Cherry Pies

Mini Cherry PiesI’ll admit that the one thing that caught my attention about this recipe was the cute little picture you see to the left. Plus I love cooking or baking individual sized anything.  I was never a big fan of cherries growing up however as I’ve gotten older, I’ve developed quite a love of fresh, ripe cherries freshly picked from the tree.  You can save the canned ones or maraschino cherries for someone else, I’ll take the fresh ones!  Anyhow, the crust looks so buttery and delicious and the cherry pie filling divine.  I’ll be making these sooner than later!  Summer is coming and this looks like the perfect treat to take to a gathering!

I love the blogger’s photos of her mini pies!  So inspiring plus it makes me hungry!!!  That’s the point right?

Blender French Toast with Coconut Syrup

French toast Coconut syrupHave I mentioned that I love breakfast foods?  Yes? Maybe? I think so!  I love making french toast out of different types of breads; french bread, sourdough, whole grain, buttermilk… and just plain old white bread!  There is something magical that happens when you combine the egg and milk, soak the bread and cook, then drench it in syrup!  Yummy!  So when I saw this recipe, my mouth instantly started to water and the coconut syrup was a serious plus!  I want to make this NOW!  Well, maybe not RIGHT now, but more than likely THIS weekend!
