Southern Style Rich & Creamy Banana Pudding

A Banana Pudding Recipe So Good It’s Almost Sinful!

Since it is Father’s Day, I thought it fitting to feature my Dad’s favorite dessert…Banana Pudding!  I can remember countless times him requesting this and he would get so excited about this dessert, if I remember correctly, with bowl and spoon in hand…would chant the words Banana Pudding in a sing song voice!  I guess you had to be there or know my Dad to get the picture but it is definitely a fond memory.

This is my Mom’s recipe, which if you know my Mom, you know ANY dessert she comes up with is fabulous!!!  I actually made this Banana Pudding recipe for Thanksgiving last year and everyone there raved over it!  It was gone in a matter of minutes once dessert was served.  Admittedly, I was a bit disappointed there were no left overs because it is just THAT good!  It takes about 15 minutes to make; don’t you love these quick, easy and delicious desserts?  So let’s get to these ingredients….

A rich, creamy, decadent Banana Pudding Recipe

1 box of Nilla Wafers
A bunch of bananas (4 whole bananas sliced, maybe 1 or 2 more depending on how much banana you like)
Large box of Instant Vanilla Pudding
2 cups of Whole Milk
14 ounces of Sweetened Condensed Milk
8 ounces of Heavy Whipping Cream

In a large mixing bowl, pour your sweetened condensed milk, your vanilla pudding mix and milk…mix well.

In a medium sized bowl, pour your heavy whipping cream and whip with a hand mixer until light and fluffy.

Next, gently fold in your whipped cream into the vanilla pudding mixture.

In a large serving bowl, layer your nilla wafers, pudding mixture and sliced bananas…repeat until all ingredients are used.

Save a few wafers to crush and sprinkle on the top of your banana pudding.

Cover and refrigerate for at least an hour before serving.
