First I love any recipe with simple and few ingredients that turn into pieces of heaven in my mouth. You will need these ingredients…and preheat your oven to 350 degrees.

If you are married, or have a significant other to cook for, this is definitely a make your man happy meal!  My boyfriend finished off these egg boats so quickly, I almost missed eating them myself!  And this is also a great breakfast for kids as you can hide all sorts of veggies inside the delicious bread, eggs, and cheese!

Sourdough Egg Boat Ingredients

1 pound of hot breakfast sausage
8 large eggs
1/4 cup of milk
1/2 pound of grated Swiss cheese
3 large green onions
4 small sourdough boats
1 teaspoon of salt
1 teaspoon of pepper

So I made the little video below and there were a few snaffoos while putting the boats together… NOTE that you need to put the Swiss cheese inside the egg mixture, it makes the whole process MUCH easier.  I just totally had a moment and forgot to put the cheese in!  NEXT, butter your foil before wrapping your sourdough.  My eggs boats stuck a little because the eggs seep through the bread.
