Homemade Organic Pumpkin Puree – It’s Easier Than You Think!!

So Simple, Never Buy Store Bought Pumpkin Puree Again!!

It’s that time of year!!!  PUMPKIN TIME…pumpkin spice latte, pumpkin pie, pumpkin cookies, pumpkin MANIA!  With as many things being cooked with pumpkin puree in the ingredients, I thought it would be nice to share exactly how simple it is to make your own at home.  One medium sized baking pumpkin is enough puree for about 2 pumpkin pies, which is a fraction of the cost of two cans of pre-made pumpkin puree.

This is a VERY short little entry because it really is THAT simple.  I nailed it the first time trying it out!  And the taste…heavenly and fresh.  Just make sure you buy an organic pumpkin, I purchased mine at Whole Foods.  You don’t have to add a thing!! It’s all natural pumpkin, no preservatives and the fresh, clean taste cannot be beat! Enjoy!

Oh, and one more thing…don’t’ forget to remove the stem before cutting in half…I didn’t and it was a little but of a pain cutting with it on, haha.
